Not long ago, a researcher at the University of Illinois made a startling discovery. He put a group of rats on a treadmill for one hour every day. A second group was deprived of the treadmill. After 30 days, he measured the number of blood capillaries in the brains of both groups and guess what he discovered? The rats that exercised had more blood capillaries and hence, more oxygen in their brains.
