In the modern work world, balancing priorities can feel like a total juggling act. The average day is non-stop — there are meetings, emails, smart phones ringing — it can be hard for anyone to take a break when work is always accessible from anywhere. The Human Resources and Skills Development of Canada suggests that managers “examine issues such as absenteeism, accountability, recruitment and retention, productivity and what the benefits might be of introducing work-life balance into their own organizations.” They also state that “by reducing work-life struggles, individuals can enjoy a healthier lifestyle while improving productivity at work.”
