YW Interview: Jason Reid

Jason Reid spent two decades in the fast-paced world of journalism–notably as manager of news and information at The Weather Network and working with CBC National News, the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail. The award-winning journalist achieved all this while living with the daily challenges of Crohn’s disease (an inflammatory bowel disorder). He recently launched his own Mississauga-based consulting and electronic publishing company to assist individuals with invisible illnesses—and the companies they work for. He spoke with Your Workplace about his road to entrepreneurship, his plans, and advice for accommodating chronic illnesses in the workplace.
