Production of Cigarettes: Are Fewer Canadians Smoking?

Total cigarettes sold in December by Canadian manufacturers decreased 9% from November to 3.1 billion cigarettes. Total cigarettes sold in December 2003 declined 13% from the level observed in December 2002, and the cumulative. Total of cigarettes sold in 2003 reached 38.6 billion, down 5% from 2002.
