Resigning 101

Leaving an organization via resignation is difficult even in the best of circumstances. It is a breakup that most professionals do not like to do or do often. Everyone who has laboured in the vineyards of the private, public, and nonprofit sectors has had to transition from one job to another. So this begs the question: What is the most appropriate way to resign? How do you say that it’s over and it’s time to move on, or in the parlance of today’s iPod generation lingo – “gotta go?”
