Five Myths About Your Favorite Office Drink

Heading straight for the water cooler or pop machine? Or have you brought your favourite special coffee to your desk? We all know we should hydrate our bodies throughout the day—including while at work. So, consider exactly how these liquids measure up on the healthy nutrition scale.

#1: Diet pop is healthier than regular pop

One can of regular pop contains ~135 kcal whereas a can of diet pop contains less than 10 kcal; some even contain zero kcal. Therefore it is true that diet pop contains a lot fewer calories. However, it is rather difficult to agree that diet pop is “healthier,” as there is really nothing healthy about artificially coloured and flavoured water.
