Pursuit of the Scent Free Workplace

Health-care activists around the world have mobilized in a global effort to ban the use of scents and fragrances in public places. In North America alone , scores of workplaces, hotels, churches, schools and social groups have adopted scent-free policies.

Whether outright bans or friendly requests for voluntary compliance, the policies aim to restrict the use of scented products in the belief that they constitute a legitimate health risk to people who have chemical sensitivities. As with all such movements, the gains are being made steadily, albeit incrementally.

Make. Work. Better.
