Every once in a while my wife feels the need to point out that I have a few black holes in my belief system. On these occasions my reactionary response (not necessarily out loud) is, “Not a chance.” For you Star Trek fans out there, you know my “shields” are up and the neurons in my brain are on red alert. In the face of conflicting information, I stubbornly cling to my position. Even when she produces an argument I can’t find holes in or evidence I can’t refute, I find myself to be a good cling on.
