Shoe Police

I have appointed myself the unofficial fashion police in Canada with a television show, “What Not to Wear to Work in Winter”. The scary part is that my voice sounds suspiciously like my mother’s when I criticize what others are wearing, wondering what their mothers taught them, and worrying about their well-being, never mind their health. Hmmm.

For one thing, when I grew up (and I will confess to being in my mid-40s), I did learn the “don’t wear white after Labour Day” rule. Does anyone learn that anymore? And if you are still wearing white shoes — why? They went out of style in the 80s! I know that if white shoes ever come back there is an entire generation of young men and women who won’t know they can’t wear white after Labour Day!
