This not-so-secret staple food is popular with healthy eaters, and for good reason. Nut eaters are less likely to die of cancer, heart disease, and respiratory disease. Eating nuts also lowers bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol. They tend to decrease hunger quickly and, in spite of their high fat content, minimize weight gain.
