YW Interview: Barb Stegemann

Barb Stegemann is a Nova Scotia-based author, entrepreneur, and mom. Her philosophy is simple, never stop learning, never stop teaching. She is a popular motivational speaker who walks her talk including recently recording a television show segment sharing her vision of doing trade with war-torn nations. Your Workplace spent some time with her.

YW: What motivated you to write 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen?

BS: I wanted to write a book to empower more women to go into business, government and politics. If you ask women if their mothers talked to them about Adam Smith and Capitalism or Plato and the Polis, rarely will you find these discussions among women.
