Diversity is a topic that has come under increasing scrutiny as research detailing its advantages and benefits has become more widely available. In today’s multicultural society, diverse workforces are commonplace rather than rare. But despite its prevalence, true equality has yet to be reached when it comes to how these varied employees are treated. Your Workplace spoke with Dr. Stacey Fitzsimmons, associate professor of international business at the University of Victoria, about her latest research into the barriers that impact diverse workers and what can be done to ameliorate these differences.
