Canadian workplaces continue to support charities

Though economic conditions are showing promise, many charities are still experiencing increased demand for services while facing a tougher job getting the money they need to stay afloat. Canadian workplaces are continuing to find ways to give, which is good news for our communities, our bottom lines and our selves.

Imagine Canada is an organization which promotes giving, volunteering and support to charities. In 2010 it released a report, Sector Monitor, designed to take the pulse of Canada’s charitable sector. The report found that charities are indeed facing some challenges: Nearly half of the participating charities reported increased demand for their services and difficulty fulfilling their mission.
