Companies with an inclusive workforce can recognize employees’ deeply held convictions
As Canada becomes increasingly diverse, so do our workplaces. This brings a set of challenges for employers trying to create an inclusive environment for everyone. But these challenges can be met with creative solutions. One response is the reflection rooms popping up across the country.
A reflection room, also called a religious observance room or quiet room, is simply a space set aside at the workplace for employees of any religious affiliation (or none at all) to go during the day and pray or spend quiet time. Many employers wouldn’t have dared touch the issue of religion at work in previous decades, but now many are acknowledging and supporting the faiths of employees in their workplaces.
