Some Days You’re the Windshield, Some Days, You’re the Bug

It’s 5:29 a.m. Your alarm clock “clicks” and what blares out is something that sounds like Black Sabbath, but you know they don’t play Black Sabbath on your easy-listening radio station.

You reach over, slam the snooze button and say to yourself: “I really don’t want to go to work today. I’ll call in sick. I deserve a day off just for me.”

You will put on your most comfortable outfit (which probably has paint stains, rips, and no elastic. It certainly has the word “sweat” in it), you will lie on the couch all day with the remote control and a bag of popcorn and drink milk right out of the carton. As this plan starts to sound really good, it occurs to you that you have to go to work today; you have an important meeting and a deadline you can’t miss.
