You’ve probably heard of, or experienced, bring-your-kid-to-work-day sometime throughout your life, but how about a bring-your-dog-to-work program? Probably not as common as the former but an increasing number of companies are allowing their employees to bring their canine companions into the office. One of these companies is the Calgary-based Rogers Insurance where, on any given day, there are 10 to 15 dogs in the office. Having this program in place is something that President and CEO Lee Rogers says benefits his employees and in turn makes the company stronger.
“We believe it increases work production,” says Rogers. “It can be difficult to be at work worrying about when and how you can get home to let your dog out.”
