It’s no sin to delegate the hiring process to save time and resources and with an eye towards an expanded hiring pool
Business leaders, no matter the field, have a challenging job (don’t we all?). Not only do they need to know the ins and outs of their specific role, but they also need to know a little bit about everything else. This means being competent in areas of resource management, finance, law and, sometimes, even politics. To be a strong business leader means wearing a lot of hats.
Unfortunately, as we all know, hats come in all sorts of styles, shapes and sizes. Some are big and flashy, some are small and inconspicuous, and some are just plain uncomfortable. Most importantly, they don’t all fit the same people. That’s why, as a business leader, it’s always a good idea to have experts in your corner, people to help relieve stress and give you the space to focus on what’s most important. Otherwise you might find yourself trying to balance a hardhat on top of a ball cap on top of a large sombrero. It just ain’t going to work. This means hiring the right people.
