One of the most spectacular stretches of the Trans Canada Trail through New Brunswick is on the coast of the Bay of Fundy, on a route called the Fundy Trail. The 15-km-long path meanders along the Fundy Escarpment through forest to a series of lookouts.
One hour’s drive east of Saint John — and specifically 7 km east of St. Martins — the trail cuts through one of the last undeveloped stretches of coastline on the eastern seaboard. The views behold pristine scenes of vast beaches, tumbling waterfalls and shapely cliffs sculptured by the world’s highest tides.
